Website Design Process

You’ll be working with me, a web and graphic designer with marketing and SEO experience. I’ve built one-page websites to larger 300+ page websites and performed ongoing website maintenance on most of the sites I’ve built.

Here’s how a typical process works for a small/medium website design project:

Discovery: before any design work or content creation begins, we’ll sit down together and take a deep look at:
- Your goals for the website
- Your target audience
- Desired website building platform
- Your plan for maintenance after publishing the website
Content Creation: we’ll write any necessary content for the website and develop messaging for your target audience. You’ll have two rounds of revisions to go through the content.
Web Design: I’ll create the homepage, one sub-page, and one blog post. Once you approve, I’ll finish the full website. You’ll have two rounds of revisions for feedback.
Go Live: We’ll hit that publish button and celebrate!
Review & Training: After publishing, we can finish any necessary small tweaks. I’ll train your team on how to edit the website. We can also discuss website maintenance packages if you would like me to maintain the site after launching.
Timeline: Average time to publish a small to medium website is around two and a half months.
